Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 2026

At Answer to Geek, accessible from https://answertogeek.com, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy outlines what information we process and how we handle it.

1. Local Client-Side Processing

The defining feature of our utility tools (including Text Cleaner, CSV Sorter, Base64 Encoder, and JSON Formatter) is that they execute calculations entirely inside your browser's runtime. Your database files, passwords, code lists, and texts are never sent to a remote web server. All processing is isolated to your local device.

2. Cookies and Storage

Answer to Geek utilizes browser localStorage solely to remember your chosen configurations for each tool (e.g. your indent spacing options or case conversion selections). This data exists exclusively on your device. We do not use tracking or profiling cookies.

3. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdSense)

We work with Google AdSense to serve contextual advertisements. Google utilizes cookies (such as the DART cookie) to serve ads based on visits to our site and other sites on the internet. You can choose to opt out of the use of DART cookies by visiting the Google Ad and Content Network Privacy Policy.

4. Log Files

Standard hosting server logs automatically collect anonymous parameters (IP addresses, browser client, ISP reference, timestamps) solely for load monitoring, server optimization, and network security audits. These logs are not linked to PII data.
